Training walkthrough — manufacturer sign-off to first install

Use this walkthrough with a supervisor and the visual installation atlas. It teaches the sequence; it does not certify a cabinet. Allow time for questions and faults rather than promising a fixed installation time.

Training environment: use approved staging fixtures or a disconnected training tablet. Label simulated results TRAINING — NOT CABINET ACCEPTANCE. Do not replay laptop-made diagnostics into production, create live sample serials, or present a simulated certificate as shipping proof. For a real cabinet, follow the physical acceptance guides below with authorized people.

Part 1 — The factory line

Identify the actual hardware and record observed factory test results.

  1. Show how to match the cabinet serial and approved APK, check its SHA-256 and signer, and identify the correct hardware family. The staff Operator app belongs on the staff device; it does not drive the vending controller.
  2. Use the training device's authorized access handover to open its service menu. Demonstrate Android Back, Home, Settings and Wi-Fi using the Android basics guide.
  3. Explain device enrolment, arming and a matching cloud heartbeat. Do not display credentials or treat an Operator claim as cabinet authentication.
  4. Walk the diagnostic screens. Mark an absent controller or unperformed test as untested; never make a tablet look like a passed physical cabinet.
  5. Show sanitized examples of a rejected report, an eligible diagnostic and its Android handwritten acceptance certificate. Explain that the Partner FAT factory signature is a separate record covering observed physical subsystem tests. A real shipment requires the complete manufacturer guide, both manufacturing records and the handover pack.

Read Manufacturer acceptance (中文) and detailed Android sign-off.

Part 2 — First install at the venue

Use a named staff account, claim the matching serial, review its address and separately confirm on-site installation.

  1. Inspect a sample traveller and explain the physical delivery checks. Use the cabinet manufacturer's actual electrical and placement instructions.
  2. Demonstrate Wi-Fi and return to the kiosk on the training device. A Wi-Fi icon alone is not a matching authenticated gateway heartbeat.
  3. Open the approved Operator interface using your own named account. Verify the authorized tenant, machine list and supported permissions. Have the authorized owner perform unavailable actions; never borrow passwords or MFA codes.
  4. On an isolated staging fixture, demonstrate claim, explicit address-match review and the separate on-site installation confirmation. Do not submit a physical-presence declaration for a real cabinet you are not standing at.
  5. Demonstrate reader identification, supported QR-only setup, real product mapping and selected fill quantities. Keep payment demonstrations in the approved test environment; a simulated transaction is not real settlement.
  6. Explain that go-live requires readiness, reviewed address, separate on-site evidence and physical acceptance. The operator's delivery acceptance is separate from both manufacturer signatures. An incomplete check is a reason to resolve the issue, not force the state green.
  7. Rehearse finding the original order after a lost reply or failed vend. A refund owed is different from a refund returned. Do not charge again merely because the first result is uncertain.

Complete First-time install on a real cabinet with its operator and qualified installer before opening it to shoppers.

Part 3 — What the demonstration proves

Witness payment and delivery, then retain the separate acceptance evidence for the actual cabinet.

Demonstration What still needs physical evidence
Android navigation and Wi-Fi screens Actual ROM, lockdown, boot and network recovery
Diagnostic and signature screens Every lane, controller, sensor, fitted accessory and both factory signatures
Operator setup and readiness Correct ownership, address, witnessed on-site placement and delivery acceptance
Simulated checkout and refund states Real destination-profile charge, correct product drop, settlement and refund
Update controls Approved artifact on the actual cabinet, identity preservation and recovery

Reset between demos

Reset only the authorized isolated training fixtures using their approved reset procedure. A production serial remains a production identity. Do not manufacture another live serial to evade an existing ownership or sign-off state. Export a training checklist under a clearly labelled training identifier and keep it separate from real cabinet handovers.
